We’ve all played with someone who continually ‘beats themselves up’ on the course, a club chucker, a stomper, a shouter (or worse)! But here’s a question… Does it make you play better?
It can actually do us good to momentarily, ‘rid’ ourselves of that frustration…. Tiger was a master at this, he’d scold himself for 3-4 seconds and then, and this is the important part, get back to a level in his mind of neutrality. This is where I see so many golfers suffer. They just don’t have that ability to ‘get over’ a poor shot. So why not learn some techniques to assist you? Please read on…
Do you struggle with your emotions on a golf course? Anger, disappointment, feeling annoyed after a bad shot?
The Mind Zone session on golf psychology is great for learning simple techniques to help with your golf. Imagine if you can overcome your fears of that bad shot or bad hole, and improve your own mental state to ultimately play better golf.
The session will help you to learn how to MAINTAIN your ATTENTION for the whole round, enabling you to have a CALM mind during your rounds of golf. If you can keep your emotions in check, think clearly and make great decisions, then that will only enhance your confidence in your ability to perform well, leading to better scores.
Remember, you are human!
Your brain is your control centre, not your muscles (despite what people often say about ‘muscle memory’). Your swing and stroke come from the instructions that you give your brain – so why not try to improve how you think on the course?
As you know, is not all about the physical swing (for that we’d certainly recommend lessons with your local PGA Pro) but is made up of several factors, one of the main ones being that phenomenal piece of kit you have ‘between your ears’.
Bookings are now being taken so please share this with your own club pro or General Manager. Why not use the evening as a fund-raiser for your Captain’s Charity?
